Zoe Hudgell - CEO and Principal Teacher

Zoe has been dancing since a young age and is a qualified dance teacher with extensive experience as a choreographer and dancer. Zoe has an Advanced Diploma in Dance Teaching and Management and has danced full time studying many styles of dance. One of Zoe’s most rewarding achievements is opening Red Door Dance and Theatre Co in 2011, where she has produced and choreographed 21 musicals and 11 dance showcases. Over the years Zoe has been so blessed to be able to teach dance to so many passionate dancers in the Colac community for 11 years now and loves nothing more than seeing them grow into brave, hard working, kind and talented young individuals. Overall Zoe has choreographed and directed over 50 shows and musicals, some of them being with Medimine Theatre Company, Centerstage Theatre Company, GSODA Junior Players, Geelong Lyric Theatre Company and Trinity College Colac. Another proud achievement for Zoe is the relationship Red Door has built with Colac Secondary College where Zoe and the Red Door team work on producing their musicals each year and teach year 7 to year 9 Dance and Drama classes. Zoe also has a degree in Event and Business Management and has previously worked for Rapid Accent and The Cotton On Group in the Run Australia team as the National Campaign and Events Manager. Along with her love of events Zoe is proud to run Band Together Colac with her partner in crime Nick Moloney and has recently enjoyed producing Christmas By The Lake with the team at MIXXFM/3CS. Over the years Zoe has been awarded with Community Enterprise Award 2012, Young Business Achiever Of The Year 2019, Best Small Business Of The Year 2018 and just recently she was awarded with the Polwarth Member Of The Year 2020. When Zoe isn’t dancing or in theatre, she is living the dream on the farm with her favourite people in the world Lachie, Xavier and Alistair.
